How to Add ProProfs Live Chat to Joomla

Joomla is a well-known Content Management System (CMS) and enables the hosting of various web content. Adding ProProfs Live Chat to your Joomla-powered website allows you to personalize your customer service and provide instant support.

Here's how you can integrate ProProfs Live Chat with Joomla:

Step 1:  Log in to your ProProfs Live Chat account and navigate to Settings.

Step 2: Locate and click on Installation, then click Copy to Clipboard to copy the chat Installation code.

Step 3:  Click Here to download the plug-in application. Right-click the ProProfs Live Chat zip file and Unzip the live chat plug-in to proceed further.

Step 4: Navigate to mod_proprofschat to find a text file of “chatcode.txt.”

Step 5: Open the file to paste the ProProfs Live Chat code to it, save the file after implementing the changes.

Step 6: Go to the main folder (mod_proprofschat), Right-click the folder, hover on Send to >> Select Compressed (Zipped) folder. Congrats! You have successfully executed your ProProfs Live Chat plug-in.

Step 7: Log in to your Joomla admin account.

Step 8: Navigate to Extensions >> Manage, and click Install.

Step 9: Browse the plug-in you have downloaded and edited, and upload the “mod_proprofschat.zip” file.

Step 10:  After the successful upload of the module, navigate to Extensions >> Modules. Select the ProProfs Live Chat Module and click Edit.

Step 11:  In the menu options, selects the Module section. Choose the position, status, access, and ordering of the module where you want to display the Live Chat on your Joomla website. Click Save to secure and implement the settings and publish the module.

Step 12:  Refresh your website to check the ProProfs Live Chat enabled on your Joomla website.
