How to Create a Bot Using AI
Create a custom AI bot that can engage users on your website. This AI bot will be capable of interacting with your visitors, answering FAQs, and providing information based on the data from your website.
Use Case:
Imagine you run an online bookstore. Your AI bot can assist visitors by recommending books based on genres they like, providing author information, and answering common questions about shipping and return policies.
Benefits:
-
Efficient Setup: Leveraging website URL as the data source simplifies the bot setup process, reducing the need for manual data input.
-
Efficient Query Handling: Bots quickly answer routine questions, freeing up chat operators to focus on complex issues and improving operational efficiency.
-
Scalable: AI bots can handle growing volumes of inquiries without needing more resources, which is ideal for expanding businesses.
To Create a Bot Using AI
Step 1: Initiating the Bot Creation process
-
On your dashboard, navigate to Bots.
-
Hover over the “+Create New Bot” button and select “Using AI” from the dropdown menu.
Here, you'll need to provide the data your bot will use to learn and interact with users.
Step 2: Configuring Your Bot with Data
You have two options for configuring your bot:
-
URL: Enter the URL of your website in the “Website URL” field. This allows the system to crawl and process information directly from your website, tailoring the bot's knowledge base to your specific content, such as FAQs, product details, and more.
- Text: Alternatively, if you prefer not to use your website or wish to supplement the bot's knowledge with additional information, you can manually input text. This option is ideal for providing detailed instructions, policies, or any other specific information you want to ensure your bot understands and can communicate with users.
After selecting your preferred data source method and providing the necessary information, click “Process Data” to proceed.
Here's how the website data appears when it is processed successfully:
You can also modify the processed data by clicking on the edit icon.
Step 3: Once the website data is processed successfully, click “Start Training.”
Step 4: Click “Preview” to see your bot in action.
Your bot is now set up and ready to go.
If the bot doesn’t respond as expected, revisiting the data source for adjustments might be necessary.
