How to Train Your AI Agent with Multiple Knowledge Sources?
Your AI agent answers from the knowledge sources you add in its Knowledge section. ProProfs Live Chat supports six source types — website URLs, uploaded files, text notes, Q&A pairs, a ProProfs Knowledge Base, and chat transcripts.
What Is AI Agent?
Combining source types gives the agent broader coverage and more accurate answers than any single source alone.
- Your answers live in different places — website, PDFs, help center — the agent pulls them all into one trained brain instead of covering only your site.
- Some questions need an exact, approved answer — Q&A pairs and text notes let you dictate the precise response the agent gives.
- Your content changes over time — the ProProfs KB source stays in sync automatically, and transcript training keeps improving replies from real conversations.
Example Use Cases
- A support agent uploads the product manual PDF so spec questions get answered straight from the official document.
- A team manager connects the company’s ProProfs Knowledge Base so every published article trains the agent and stays current.
- A small business owner adds a text note with holiday hours and a Q&A pair for the refund policy the agent must quote exactly.
