How to Add a Custom Status

 

In ProProfs Chat, the chat admin can add a custom offline status such as "In a meeting" (when busy with internal meetings) or "Out for lunch" (when they are offline), which allows the chat operator to select the preferred status from the user account menu. This lets the chat admin monitor their chat operator(s) productivity and working hours via status reports

 

NOTE:  Only the chat admin can add a custom status, whereas the chat operator can only select from the available statuses.

 

Here’s how a chat operator can set a custom status :

Custom status can help the chat admin to

  • Measure the efficiency of the chat operator(s)
  • Identify scheduling and staffing issues
  • Know how long the chat operator(s) were online 

 

Here’s How a Chat Admin Can Add a Custom Status

 

Step 1: Click “Settings” in the navigation menu.

Step 2: Under the "Chat Window" section, click “Settings.”

Step 3:  Switch to the "Real Time Monitoring" section. Within that section, navigate to "Operator's Status" and click on "+Add New."

Step 4: Enter your status and press enter key.

Step 5: Click “Save” to finish the changes.

Pro tip: The chat admin can also view the operator's status report from timesheets to monitor their performance.
