How to Change the Language of Live Chat Widget

 

ProProfs Live Chat supports 60+ languages and lets you communicate with your audiences in a language they find convenient. The Language section is where you can manage all the language settings for Live Chat. Add multiple languages, and create custom text for pre-chat, post-chat, & offline messages.

Using the language change feature, you can:

 

  1. Offer live customer support in different languages if your services span across different demographics

  2. Train the customer support team in a specific language to ensure high customer satisfaction levels.

 

Here's how you can access and manage language settings:

 

Step 1: In your ProProfs Live Chat account,

 

  • Click 'Settings'

  • Select 'Language' on the left panel under the Chat Window section.

Step 2: You can set the language for groups based on customer interactions.

 

  • Select the 'Group' for which you want to set a particular language. You can go with 'General' if you want to change the live chat widget language for every group.

  • Click the dropdown arrow and select the preferred language from the list. You can choose from 70+ languages.

NOTE: Greetings, announcements, and invites will not be translated automatically to the set language. You can manually set them in the editor in the languages you are providing support.

 

Step 3: To make your language settings more appealing, you can select a language and preview it in real-time for your three primary chat options.

NOTE: The user’s keyboard input will show in their typing language while chatting in the ProProfs Live Chat widget. It allows users to use multilingual keyboards depending upon the language they prefer to talk in.

Step 4: Click 'Save' to finalize your language changes.

 

NOTE: You can change the text of all the messages per your language change and requirement.
